This sweet and short hometown parade has been around since 1961, when a group of concerned citizens (all ladies)\u00a0<span style=\"background-color:white;\">rose up in hopes of protecting<\/span><span style=\"background-color:white;\">\u00a0their community from the proposed cement-plant square in the middle of their, what is still called, <\/span><i style=\"background-color:white;\">village<\/i><span style=\"background-color:white;\">\u00a0and&#8230;\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color:white;\">succeeded<\/span><i style=\"background-color:white;\">! <\/i><span style=\"background-color:white;\">To celebrate, they proposed to throw a parade on July 4, which attracts visitors from all around.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"background-color:white;\"><br \/>\n<\/span> <span style=\"background-color:white;\">The parade is exceptionally fun because typically, you&#8217;ll see about fifteen people you know <i>in<\/i>\u00a0the parade, and many more in the crowd.
